All-Star Bust

Friday 12 July 2002

Another short and sweet rant: the All-Star game could have been one of the great ones, but due to the need (real or imagined) for fairness to all players present, there was no rationing of pitchers. Thus, when the game went into extra innings, everything fell apart. I'm not here to place blame (though Bud Selig shouldn't be in charge of major league baseball because it's a conflict of interests.) I'm just here to say that collectively, they blew it. And I'm pretty sure they're going to blow it again before this season is over. See my last rant for more on that.

Oh well. At least I can still play softball. Bud, the greedy owners, and the overpaid whiners can't take that away from me.
