This is a stupid situation. I can see the guy not wanting to play when he wasn't getting paid, but now he _is_ getting paid again, so he should be playing. Instead, he's merely "leaving the door open." What a crock.

This particular player has been a problem and a distraction for years. Maybe that's why he's played on 5 teams from 1999-2004. Hell, even the Yankees got rid of him.

And even now he still complains that he doesn't make enough money?

Idiot. I hope when he's older and can't play anymore, he realizes what a chance he wasted.
