Local high-speed chase ends in tragedy

The irony here is that the only thing this girl originally did wrong was speed, which would have resulted in a simple ticket, no more than $100. Instead, she and her friend are dead.

Sure, it's sad, but you know what? I'd rather see it end this way than with them slamming into some family's minivan at 100 mph. The police did the right thing - they removed a major danger from the road. They tried to remove that danger the simple way, but the speeding driver's stupidity prevented that, so she had to be stopped the difficult way. She made it risky, and she paid the price.
