Here is one of the simplest of my numerous (and in some cases, controversial) thoughts about Hurricane Katrina's recent flooding of New Orleans: this crisis has definitely brought out both the best and the worst in some people. We're seeing incredible displays of heroism and generosity...as well as some people doing and saying some really stupid things. I guess it takes a tough situation to reveal the true workings of some people.
