So, this year's MLB All-Star game is over, and it was actually a pretty good game. One glaring question: why were the two players voted in at the last minute by the fans...completely ignored by their managers? This is wrong.

Then again, the entire game is somewhat wrong. Is it for the fans, or is it for the players? If it's for the fans, then perhaps the number of players should be lessened so that it's a true all-star game. If it's for the players, then maybe stats or fellow players' votes should determine the players (or even some statistical means). If it's for the home-field advantage in the World Series, then everyone should let the two managers do what they want, period. Basically, Bud Selig wants these games to be all things to all people...and that won't work.
